There are so many new activities and events at the Art Center, it is a challenge to keep up with all of them.  But, this is a good challenge.  In just a little over four years the Ftn City Art Center has become one of the most recognized venues in east Tennessee for artists and students alike.  As the FCAC has grown, so has it's website. Feel free to send suggestions (and articles) to our webmaster.

The new  Schedule is available for online viewing please be sure to checkout the "Classes" section.

"Terra Madre" Exhibition July 10 - August 7

The Fountain City Art Center will proudly host an exhibition of pottery by the most outstanding group of potters in our area, Terra Madre". We have hosted their exhibits twice before in previous years, and we always get a large crowd of fans of the group. Each potter has her own distinct style and approach to creating; the variety in these shows is really exciting. Most of the pieces are "Terra Madre"decorative, many are whimsical, and even the practical items are going to be unlike anything you are used to seeing ... unless you have been a fan and a follower of these women. These artists do not remain stagnant from one year to the next which means that you will be treated to a whole new collection of originals in this show.
The opening reception for "the girls" and their work is Friday, July 10, 6:30-8:30PM at the Fountain City Art Center, 213 Hotel Avenue, 37918.  We do not charge admission to view our exhibitions of artwork. Everyone is welcome to attend all our show receptions as well.
For further details on our upcoming exhibits this year through 2010, visit our website: www.fountaincityart.org. Our hours are: WF 10-5; TuTh 9-5; Sat. 9-1. We have classes and workshops for all ages year round, too! (865)357-2787; fcartcenter@knology.net.
